Northshore business owners now have their very own version of Facebook. Peak Automotive owners Brian and Kim Walker have launched Inside985, a social networking site for businesspeople to connect online, share photos and videos, blog or post events. The Walkers, who recently moved back home to Hammond, were members of a similar site in North Carolina called Inside919. They wanted an online network here, so they partnered with that site’s founder to establish one. “Being able to connect with business owners online, develop relationships and eventually take this to a networking offline has helped us tremendously,” Kim Walker says. “While in North Carolina, we found the Inside919 network useful for posting images, videos, events and participating in business-related discussions. We use Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, but Inside985 brings a geographic significance that makes this social networking platform unique.” To check out Inside985, click here.
