Fuel for the future: Waste Management and Livingston Parish officials will formally mark the opening of the company’s new Compressed Natural Gas Fleet Facility at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the new facility, 15505 Industry Way Drive, in Walker. The new center is part of Waste Management’s effort to convert 80% of its fleet to alternative fuels by 2020.

Matters of the heart: Our Lady of the Lake has expanded its new heart care services to its clinic location in Livingston Parish. Electrophysiology services, which provide special focus on heart rhythm disorders such as atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, are now available at the Louisiana Cardiology Associates clinic in Denham Springs, with cardiologist Dr. Paul Dampf practicing at the clinic.
