Foul ball: With ugly weather looming over Busch Stadium in St. Louis, baseball officials decided to postpone today’s Game 6 of the World Series. The game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers has been rescheduled for 7:05 p.m. Thursday. Game 7, if necessary, will be played at 7:05 p.m. Friday.

Rolling thunder: The portion of River Road from North Boulevard south to St. Phillip Street will close to traffic beginning at 12 a.m. Friday for a motorcycle rally that is expected to attract thousands over the weekend. River Road will reopen to traffic at 11 p.m. Sunday. During the three-day closure, the portion of River Road from North Boulevard north to Florida Street will be limited to a single-lane of northbound traffic, and southbound lanes will be closed. On Thursday, construction crews working on the North Boulevard Town Square project are slated to reopen the westbound lane of North Boulevard to through traffic between Third and Fourth streets. It’s how you finish: Kentucky is predicted to win the 2012 SEC men’s basketball championship in voting by a select panel of both SEC and national media members, and LSU is predicted to finish ninth in a field of 12. Each SEC school selected media members that cover their team, and additional media from across the nation were selected by the conference office to form the voting panel, the SEC Digital Network reports.
