Work will take two months: The section of Highland Road from Gardere Lane to Bluebonnet Boulevard will be closed for two months, beginning Monday. The section of road is being rehabilitated and will only be open to local traffic. Through traffic will be detoured onto Burbank Drive. The work is scheduled for completion June 24, weather permitting.
Will provide technology and basic engineering: Badger Licensing, a joint venture between The Shaw Group and ExxonMobil Chemical Company, has been awarded a contract to provide services for a chemical plant in Alexandria, Egypt. The value of the contract with Egyptian Polystyrene Production Company was not disclosed. Badger will provide proprietary technology and basic engineering for the plant, which will produce ethylbenzene/styrene monomers, used in making plastics.
