Lone New Orleans representative on squad: Jahri Evans, an offensive guard with the New Orleans Saints, has been named to the Associated Press NFL All-Pro team. Evans is the only Saint to make the team. He also made the squad last year. Composition of the All-Pro Team is determined by 50 media members who cover the NFL.
Look in on the library: East Baton Rouge Parish Library Board meetings will start being televised on the local government access channel. The meetings will air on Metro 21, beginning at 9 p.m. Feb. 18. Metro Council member Alison Cascio spearheaded the effort to air Library Board meetings, saying the public needs to be informed of its actions. David Farrar, library director, says the move will make it easier for the system to let the public know about services and programs.
