Q&A included: Representatives from Occupy Baton Rouge will address the Press Club at noon today. The group’s representatives will discuss how the protest movement, modeled after Occupy Wall Street, is progressing in Louisiana’s capital. The Press Club meets on Mondays at De La Ronde Hall, which is located at 320 Third St. in downtown Baton Rouge. Lunch, which is served at 11:30 a.m., is $12 for members and $15 for non-members. The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the media are allowed to ask questions during the question-and-answer portion of the program.
Safety first: The Honey Badger is back to winning awards. LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu was named Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week for his play in LSU’s 41-17 victory against Arkansas Friday. For the game, Mathieu moved from his normal cornerback position to safety, where he filled in for an injured Eric Reid. Everyone loves a wedding: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 1, filmed largely in Baton Rouge, was the No. 1 film over Thanksgiving weekend, taking in $62.3 million from Wednesday to Sunday, according to an estimate from distributor Summit Entertainment.
