Done deal: Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System has closed on its $20 million deal to buy Amedisys’ Sherwood Forest Boulevard headquarter offices. The two companies announced the deal earlier this week. Under new ownership: Ten Flags Inn motel at 7682 Airline Hwy. has been sold to a Jefferson Parish buyer for $950,000 in a sale filed with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court on Monday. The seller was Ten Flags LLC, represented by Li-Chu Ho and Cheng-Tzeng Ho, and the buyer was Olivia Liang LLC, represented by Lingling Wang and Shaojun Liang. The two sides closed on the deal for the 3.68-acre tract the motel occupies on Nov. 20. Attempts to reach either party for comment were unsuccessful.
Sold: Gonzales-based North American Automotive Group LLC has purchased the Import One dealership at 9977 Airline Hwy. from murder suspect Hamid Ghassemi. In a deal filed with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court on Wednesday, North American Automotive Group paid $1.1 million for the dealership. It will be the company’s fourth dealership. Ghassemi purchased the property in January 1997 for $375,000. Ghassmi remains jailed in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison awaiting trial after pleading not guilty to a first-degree murder charge for his alleged part in what police have called a murder-for-hire plot to kill his ex-wife. Three other men have also been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Taherah Ghassemi.
