Done deal: The sixth and final building in Don Joffrion and Edward Rotenberg’s CreekStone Office Park on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard has been sold to CVW Jefferson Properties LLC. The $880,000 deal for the 5,700-square-foot building at 11414 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. was finalized Monday and filed with the East Baton Rouge Parish Clerk of Court’s office Wednesday. Bill Jeansonne of Saurage Rotenberg Commercial Real Estate, who represented Joffrion in the deal, says CVW Jefferson Properties purchased the building as an investment. The building has one tenant, KDK Capital Region Realty, in a three-year lease. The other five buildings in the built-to-suit office park have previously have been sold.

Here’s the plan: Hazelwood Energy Hub has announced plans to develop a $400 million crude oil storage, blending and distribution facility in St. Landry Parish. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will create 123 new permanent jobs and 145 indirect jobs. Hazelwood expects to begin construction next year, with the facility expected to be in operation in 2018. The facility will be located at the Port of Krotz Springs, situated near the Union Pacific rail line and U.S. 190. Hazelwood will have access to a network of five major pipelines at the site, where it will also operate a barge facility on the Atchafalaya River. LED has more details on the announcement.

Tonight’s the night: All four candidates leading in Louisiana’s gubernatorial race, along with two others considered long shots for the seat, are set to partake in the first televised debate this evening leading up to the Oct. 24 general election. Democrat John Bel Edwards and Republicans Scott Angelle, Jay Dardenne and David Vitter will take the stage along with Cary Deaton and Jeremy Odom, both Democrats. WDSU-TV of New Orleans is hosting the debate, which will air at 6 p.m. and be streamed live on the station’s website.
