To the top: Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center has been named Hospital of the Year for the fourth time by the Louisiana State Nurses Association and Louisiana Nurses Foundation in the large hospital category. On deck: The major annual awards show for local media advertisers and designers, the 2013 Baton Rouge ADDY Awards, is set for Saturday at De La Ronde Hall, 320 Third St., Suite 201. Here’s to a speedy return: Former LSU and professional football star Billy Cannon was hospitalized in Baton Rouge this afternoon after suffering a stroke, the university confirms, adding the 1959 Heisman Trophy winner “is alert and resting.” The brief release from LSU says “doctors will conduct tests to determine the extent of the stroke, according to the family. Cannon will remain in ICU tonight. The family expressed its thanks for the prayers and concerns of friends and fans.”
