New Neighbors: GEA Federal Credit Union, based in St. Gabriel, has merged with Neighbors Federal Credit Union. The branch has been rebranded as a Neighbors location. GEA had about 600 members and nearly $4 million in assets. The credit union served employees of the PCS Nitrogen, Honeywell and Williams Olefins plants.

Can they make a deal? NFL owners and players are in the Boston area to resume negotiations toward a new collective bargaining agreement, a person with knowledge of the talks has told The Associated Press. Commissioner Roger Goodell and members of his labor committee are meeting today with players association chief DeMaurice Smith and several players. A day earlier, NFL owners were briefed on recent progress about a new CBA. Both sides conveyed optimism about reaching an agreement after owners were briefed about a proposed CBA that would net the players just under 50% of total revenues. An NFL-imposed lockout has been in place since March 12.
