Located at the former Lower Middle School site at 2389 La. 1 that’s owned by The Church of Donaldsonville, the park is a project of the Healthy Spaces for West Bank Faces, a Leadership Ascension team sponsored by the Ascension Chamber of Commerce. The group is currently in the process of raising $50,000 for the playground build and hopes to also install a walking path at the park. A team of LSU Engineering students is to meet with Donaldsonville Primary and Lower Elementary students early next month to get their input on the playground.
