Loose change: Louisiana Treasurer John Kennedy is reminding taxpayers to check to see if the IRS owes them old federal income tax refunds. Kennedy says more than $1.3 million is owed to 1,362 Louisiana taxpayers whose federal income tax refund checks were undeliverable because of an old address or other reason. The Louisiana Department of the Treasury has posted the IRS undelivered refund list on its Facebook page here. Anyone who sees his or her name on the list should visit www.IRS.gov and click on the “Where’s My Refund” icon, or call 800-829-1954.

Loose ends: A legislative audit says Grambling State University has failed to address hundreds of thousands of dollars in missing or stolen property for seven years in a row. The review by Legislative Auditor Daryl Purpera’s office says for the last budget year running through June 30, Grambling couldn’t account for $1.6 million in items like computers and furniture. That’s nearly 7% of the university’s $24 million movable property inventory. Purpera’s office says the school has had to use public funds to replace missing items. In his response to the audit, Grambling President Frank Pogue says the school hired a new property control manager and launched a campus-wide cleanup of obsolete equipment to help locate missing items. A night with the Jersey devil: Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band have joined the roster of the 2012 New Orleans Jazz Fest as a last-minute addition, The Times-Picayune reports. Springsteen and company will close out the Acura Stage on April 29, the fest’s first Sunday. “The Boss” has not appeared at the Fair Grounds, or in New Orleans, since his 2006 tour with his Seeger Sessions Band at the first Jazz Fest after Hurricane Katrina. The E Street Band joins a 2012 Jazz Fest roster already stacked with such heavyweights as the Eagles, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, the Foo Fighters, John Mayer, My Morning Jacket, a Beach Boys reunion, Jill Scott, Florence + the Machine, and a solo ukulele set by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder.
