Making the list: The marketing department at Adams and Reese is among the top 50 in the country, according to the seventh annual MLF 50: The Top Law Firms in Marketing and Business Development, published by Law Journal Newsletters, a Philadelphia-based division of American Lawyer Media. Adams and Reese ranked No. 39 on the list. Firms are ranked based on achievement in a variety of marketing and communications-related categories, including the ability to effectively communicate and advance the firm’s growth and business goals; community/pro bono outreach; online marketing initiatives; and marketing/business development strategy.

Homeward bound: Ronald L. DeCuir Jr. has been named director of slot performance for the L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge, under construction on River Road by Pinnacle Entertainment. DeCuir has served in a similar capacity for Boomtown Casino Hotel in Bossier City for the past four years. In his new role, the Baton Rouge native will be responsible for “creating and maintaining an exciting slot floor environment,” according to a release. DeCuir has 17 years of experience in slot operations. Construction on the L’Auberge Baton Rouge is to be completed by July 31, 2012, with the casino and hotel expected to open four to five weeks thereafter.

Lineup change: The Saints have placed offensive tackle Charles Brown on injured reserve and signed veteran Ray Willis to take his spot on the active roster. Brown, who started five games at right tackle in place of injured veteran Zach Strief, hurt his right hip during Sunday’s loss in St. Louis against the Rams. Strief practiced today, working with the first-team offensive line, and coach Sean Payton says he’s ready to return from his sprained right knee this Sunday against Tampa Bay. The 29-year-old Willis began his NFL career in 2005 but has not played since 2009, when he started every game for Seattle. He missed all of last season with a knee injury.
