In a press release issued this morning, Lamar also says it expects aggregate quarterly distributions to stockholders in 2015 will total $2.75 per common share, including the latest dividend and the aggregate of $1.37 of dividends previously paid on March 31 and June 30. Selling Louisiana: The Louisiana Office of Tourism has received its first ever National Council of State Tourism Directors Mercury Award for marketing. The award represents the highest level of recognition among state tourism agencies, and Louisiana won for its print campaign celebrating Louisiana’s culinary scene. “We focused our 2015 and 2016 ads on the state’s culinary offerings and how well our cuisine pairs with the rest of our state’s passions—outdoor adventure, music, history. It resulted in stunning ads and a highly effective message,” says Lt. Gov. Jay Dardenne in a prepared statement. The Mercury Awards, given annually at the U.S. Travel Association’s Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations conference, recognize creative accomplishment in state destination marketing and promotion.
