Deal should mean little change for employees: Integral Hospitality Solutions has taken over the management of the Hilton Garden Inn across from Metro Airport. The 131-room hotel in Howell Place had been managed by former owner Interstate Hotels & Resorts. Interstate sold the hotel in fall 2009 to a fund managed by Fairwood Capital. An Integral spokeswoman says the move will have little impact on the 30 to 35 people who work at the hotel, but the property is looking for a new general manager.
Locally shot movie hits screens in New York, Los Angeles: The Ledge, which was shot in downtown Baton Rouge last year, is being released to movie theaters in New York and Los Angeles today. While the thriller has an impressive cast, with Terrence Howard, Charlie Hunnam and Liv Tyler, and reportedly makes Baton Rouge look nice, it has gotten poor reviews. It managed just a 5% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The Ledge will be released on DVD at the end of September.
