Now open: After a long career in the oil industry, Baton Rouge’s Bryan Wynn has opened a local franchise of St. Louis-based Fish Window Cleaning. The business offers commercial and residential window cleaning in Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Prairieville and Sorrento. “I am excited to bring Fish Window Cleaning to the area,” Wynn says in a news release. The company was founded in 1978 and began franchising in 1998. Since then, the company claims to have grown into the world’s largest window cleaning company with more than 250 franchise territories in 43 states.

Honored: Methanex was honored Tuesday morning as one of the eight 2016 Lantern Award winners by Louisiana Economic Development. The Geismar plant was the Capital Region winner and was lauded, along with the other seven winners, for “excellence in manufacturing and outstanding service to their communities through the involvement of their businesses and employees,” LED says. At the ceremony at the Governor’s Mansion, MMR Group Inc. of Baton Rouge was awarded one of three Louisiana Performance Excellence Awards by the Louisiana Quality Foundation. Other Lantern Award winners are Falcon Rice Mill from Crowley, Conrad Industries Inc. from Morgan City, UPS Midstream Services from Trout, B. Viz Design from St. Joseph, Magnolia Steel of Natchitoches Inc., Boscoli Foods Inc. from Kenner and Howell Industries Inc. from Sulphur.

Growing: Bistro Byronz is joining The Villages of Americana traditional neighborhood development in Zachary, officials announced at a groundbreaking ceremony held Tuesday for a mixed-use building and Walk-On’s restaurant at the development. Representatives from Commercial Properties Realty Trust, which is developing two 33,000-square-foot mixed-use buildings that will house the restaurants, joined officials from Zachary and Walk-On’s for the ceremony. Walk-On’s will sit in 6,100 square feet, while Bistro Byronz will occupy about 4,200 square feet. Also announced is that Provident Resources Group will build a $20 million,100-bed senior living facility in Americana and hope to begin construction later this year.
