Honky tonk time: Bayou Country Superfest will once again be a three-day affair when it returns to Tiger Stadium for a seventh year in 2016, festival organizers announced today. The festival will once again be held over the Memorial Day weekend, with concerts on Friday, May 27, through Sunday, May 29. The artist lineup will be announced Nov. 10. The country music festival was technically only two days last year, though Taylor Swift held a concert in Tiger Stadium on the evening that was not officially a part of the festival. Bayou Country Superfest expanded to include a third day of music for its fifth anniversary after being a two-day festival for its first four years.

Don’t forget your umbrella: Soggy conditions due to record rainfalls recently and a forecast for more stormy weather this weekend have caused two events to be rescheduled. The Louisiana Legacy golf tournament slated to take place at the Country Club of Louisiana has been moved to Monday, Nov. 16. The event, which benefits Junior Achievement and is sponsored by KPMG, was set to take place Monday. Meanwhile, the Humana Baton Rouge 5K originally set to take place at Highland Road Park on Sunday has been postponed to Saturday, Dec. 12, due to flooding at the park. Also today, the organizers of the 5th Annual Baton Rouge Halloween Parade announced the parade start time has been moved up to 9:30 a.m. Saturday due to the weather forecast. The parade was to roll beginning at 2 p.m.

Safety first: The Pelican Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors has recognized 33 Baton Rouge area contractor members with Safety Training and Evaluation Process awards at the quarterly Industrial Contractor Council luncheon on Wednesday.
