A surefire cure for the blues: This year’s Baton Rouge Blues Festival, set to take place downtown on Saturday, April 13, will feature performances by Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Bobby Rush, Henry Gray and CC Adcock & The Lafayette Marquis, among others. Cup by cup: Community Coffee has launched a new line of single-serve coffee cups. The new cups come in three of the company’s most popular blends—Dark Roast, Café Special and Breakfast Blend—and are being sold in grocery stores as well as on the company’s website. Company President/CEO David Belanger says in prepared release the new product line is “in keeping with … our vision to be the best coffee company in America.”
New market opportunities: Though it may sound like a minor move, Kleinpeter Farms Dairy President Jeff Kleinpeter says the Baton Rouge-based company is “hugely excited” to finally have its milk available in Grand Isle. Not only because Grand Isle is a “true Louisiana treasure,” Kleinpeter says, but because the closest place the company had its milk available prior to Thursday was located 60 miles away in Lockport. The Sureway store in Grand Isle has only begun carrying Kleinpeter milk for the time being, but Kleinpeter says he expects ice cream will also be available soon.
