Touch your world up with some color: Baton Rouge-based Mobstir has developed a new margarita salt tailor-made for Louisianans. The salts come in either purple and gold or black and gold. The “Lick Dat” salts blend sea salt infused with lime and orange with a dash of sugar and coloring. Check them out at the company’s web store here. The company says it will also be available through local retailers soon.

A new chapter: The new Barnes & Noble store located in the new LSU Union Square development on Highland Road is now open, and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, at 11 a.m. In addition to the items you’d expect to find at any Barnes & Noble, the LSU location also offers textbooks, course materials, apparel and other university items. A café serving Starbucks products is also housed in the store, as well as a Clinique cosmetics counter and Computer Tech store. You can check out the new store’s website here.

Dollars and cents: Those who follow Apple believe they have figured out most of the particulars of a smaller iPad expected to be revealed on Tuesday. One big question remains, though: What will it cost? Apple hasn’t said anything about the device, but the veil of secrecy it throws over unreleased products has been a see-through affair this year. Most of the details of the iPhone 5 were known well in advance of its launch a month ago. Read The Associated Press’ full story for all the industry speculation on Tuesday’s big unveiling here.
