Talk to me: U.S. Support Co. plans to add 1,000 people to its Shreveport call center operation in 12 to 14 months. U.S. Support, which provides technical support and customer service, includes among its clients Comcast, Sprint and Embarq. More employees are needed as the company’s clients expand to different markets, U.S. Support officials say. The inbound call center already employs more than 1,500 people. Word about the new, full-time jobs came after the company had to lay off about 150 people a few months ago because the volume in some of its markets decreased.

Want a sandwich? Subway has opened a location in Cortana Mall, near to the customer service booth. This is the second local Subway location for franchise owner Donald Ford.
