With the opening of the new Stumberg Extension, activity is humming on the new Woman’s Hospital campus. However, the new hospital does not open until 5 a.m. Sunday. Until then, all patients should continue to go to 9050 Airline Highway—the old campus. All of Woman’s operations are moving to 100 Woman’s Way, at the corner of Airline Highway and the Stumberg Extension, near Pecue Lane. If women go into labor or need medical attention early Sunday morning before 5 a.m., they should report to the old campus. They will be transferred to the new campus via ambulance when transportation is appropriate. In consideration of the patient move, Woman’s requests minimal visitors at both hospitals on Sunday, when all patients will be moved from the old hospital to the new. Both hospitals will remain operational for the duration of the move and have full medical capabilities should an emergency arise. The old Woman’s location—of more than 43 years—will close once the last patient has been transported to the new facility, and the new location will become Woman’s permanent home. All physician offices currently located in Woman’s Physician Tower will relocate to the new campus. A complete list of physician move dates is available on newwomans.org or womans.org/pob. Patients are encouraged to check this list to confirm their physician’s new address. For complete information about the new campus, visit newwomans.org.
