We always knew the corridor was cool, but now the rest of the world knows it, too. MSN Travel last month named New Orleans one of the “15 Coolest North American Cities.” Here’s what MSN had to say about the Crescent City: “Packed with revelers during the annual Mardi Gras festival, the French Quarter in New Orleans remains lively the remainder of the year. Much of the architecture in the French Quarter dates back to the brief period of Spanish rule in the late 1700s, with many buildings having survived fires and hurricanes in the centuries since.” Also on the list: Chicago; Santa Fe, N.M.; Denver; Savannah, Ga.; New York City; Vancouver, B.C.; Philadelphia; Boston; Las Vegas; Minneapolis; Nashville; Austin and Portland, Ore.
