Discounted early-bird tickets are now available for the second annual MPAC party, set to take place across multiple floors of the Shaw Center for the Arts in downtown Baton Rouge on May 7.
Presented by 225 and inRegister magazines, the inaugural MPAC party was a sold-out success last year, and this year’s event promises to be even more entertaining. Each floor of the arts center will once again feature a different musical performance and cuisine by Ruffino’s Catering. Works from a number of local galleries and artists will also be on display, while the musical lineup features DJ Jager, DM + ASKTHETHOMASBROS, Charlston Bourgeois, The Gilis Silo and Jason Martin. A live DJ battle between DJ Push Play and DJ 2EZ will also take place.
MPAC is scheduled for 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7. The attire can be dressy, casual or jeans—but guests are encouraged to dress entirely in white. A portion of the proceeds this year will benefit Cancer Services. New this year will be an official MPAC after-party at the Roux House, beginning at 10:30 p.m.
Through the end of March, advance tickets will be available for $50. They can be purchased online. Beginning April 1, tickets will be $65. If the event does not sell out in advance, tickets will be available at the door for $75. All attendees must be at least 21 years old. Tickets include entry to the MPAC party, access to all galleries and bands, as well as hors d’oeuvres. Cash bars will be available on each floor.
