Alex Velasquez has been promoted to vice president of affiliate development for Legacy Consulting Group, a waste consulting firm. Velasquez previously served as the company’s director of sales. He has been responsible for the establishment of 39 satellite offices in 24 states and more than $7.5 million in personal sales.
HEALTH CARE
Jason Gwyn has been promoted to director of day surgery and special procedures for Lane Regional Medical Center. Gwyn, who has more than 17 years’ experience in health care and is a certified CPR instructor, is responsible for coordinating all aspects of nursing care for the two units, which includes patient satisfaction, staffing and physician relations. He previously served as supervisor and staff nurse for day surgery and special procedures.
INSURANCE
Peter Gale has been hired as senior vice president of insurance services for Louisiana Workers’ Compensation Corporation. Gale has 23 years’ experience in commercial insurance with such companies as AIG, Kemper Insurance, Fireman’s Fund Insurance and Brown & Brown. He previously served as the president of R.F. Mattei & Associates and the vice president and business technology executive for Eagle Insurance Companies [now Seabright], a former Kemper subsidiary.

Robin P. Bravchok has been hired as an associate with Phelps Dunbar. Bravchok is a member of the regional business practice group, where she primarily will practice in health care and corporate law.
Kyle A. Ferachi has been elected as a member of McGlinchey Stafford. Ferachi practices in the labor and employment law section. He defends private employers against allegations of federal and state statutes governing discrimination, harassment, whistleblower claims, OSHA complaints and noncompete agreements.
Jonathan G. Wilbourn has been elected as a member of McGlinchey Stafford. Wilbourn’s primary emphasis is commercial litigation, with a focus on consumer financial services and business litigation.
