Two more Republican candidates for president have signed up to get their names on Louisiana’s March 24 presidential primary ballot. The campaigns for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann and former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman submitted their paperwork to the secretary of state’s office Thursday. Qualifying for the race continues until Friday. The statewide election allows registered Democrats and Republicans to vote for who they want to get their party’s nomination. Democratic President Barack Obama’s campaign signed up for Louisiana’s ballot Wednesday, along with most of the major GOP candidates, including former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, Texas Rep. Ron Paul, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
