A little more than three months since a fire gutted Mike Anderson’s Seafood, the popular West Lee Drive restaurant reopened over lunch today. “We had a good turnout in the main dining room; all the booths were full, and we’re really happy with how it’s going,” says Courtney Dodson, the restaurant’s events and marketing coordinator. Renovations began almost immediately after a Dec. 13 fire left the restaurant shuttered in the middle of the busy holiday season. The final touches are still being put on the patio dining area, Dodson says, but otherwise the renovations are complete. The restaurant has a number of promotions it’s running, now through the official grand reopening on March 31, to thank customers for their patience while the restaurant was closed—including a giveaway of 16 LSU home football game tickets. All you have to do to win is get a free raffle ticket at the restaurant, Dodson says. Mike Anderson’s will reopen this evening at 5 p.m. for its first dinner service since the fire. —Steve Sanoski
