Former LSU and Green Bay Packers quarterback Matt Flynn today is partnering with Rouses Markets to launch retail sales of his MyHy sport drink products.
The deal with Rouses marks the first time MyHy, founded in 2015, will be sold to consumers. Previously, it was only available in bulk to industrial companies and sports teams.
Flynn says he came up with the idea to develop a sports hydration product after Green Bay trainers analyzed the players’ sweat to developing individual hydration plans, which he says helped him perform better and with less muscle cramping.
The single-serve electrolyte packs—mixed with 16 ounces of water to create an instant hydration drink—are available in three flavors. MyHy Big Freezie, a freezable popsicle, comes in four flavors and is designed to deliver electrolytes lost in sweat while also cooling the core body temperature. Â
