The educational reforms pushed by Louisiana’s former education superintendent, Paul Pastorek, and a slim majority of Board of Elementary and Secondary Education members are being tested, says John Maginnis. Challenges are coming from teacher unions, school boards and superintendents; and they’re aided by the lack of clear leadership on the administration side.
