On the heels of her tryout as a placekicker for the LSU football team during spring practice last month, LSU alumna, former soccer goalkeeper, homecoming queen and current grad student Mo Isom will appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” today. NBC 33 will carry the show locally, and it will air at 4 p.m. The show’s website previews the episode by saying, “an incredible female athlete, Mo Isom, challenged the norm by trying out to be a kicker for the LSU football team. Her amazing story of tragedy and triumph, as well as her remarkable talent, will inspire you to take on the world!” Isom, who is six feet tall, initially worked out with the football team in September, practicing kickoffs and field goals. She still has one year of eligibility, and said after missing the team last month she may consider another tryout this summer. Isom was recently included in 225‘s People to Watch in 2012 feature, which you can check out here.
