LSU Law Center students have achieved the highest passage rate among all examinees on the latest Louisiana State Bar Exam. According to results from the Committee on Bar Admissions of the Supreme Court of Louisiana, 86.5% of LSU students received passing scores on the July exam. In all, 164 LSU students took the exam, and 142 successfully passed. The second-highest passage rate came from students at Tulane—78.6%— followed by Loyola (69.6%) and Southern University (62.2%). Bar passage is required before graduating law students may practice law in Louisiana.
