Logan Leger—an LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Fellow, LSU engineering student and founder/CEO of NewAperio—has placed in the top 30 at the 2011 Global Student Entrepreneurship Award finals. Leger’s participation in the Fort Worth semifinal round last April placed him in the global finals, held in New York City in November. Leger competed in the GSEA finals with students from countries around the globe, and his business plan for NewAperio netted him a top 30 finish. “It was an incredibly exhilarating experience to be surrounded by so many young people who are doing amazing things all over the world,” Leger says. “It really fired me up. I couldn’t wait to get back home and start working at my business even harder.” Leger says his top 30 finish is “a huge testament to the quality of the education I’m receiving at LSU.” GSEA is a program of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization, of which LSU graduate and Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute Advisory Board member Kevin Langley is the global chair.
