Led by renowned Louisiana political consultant Roy Fletcher, LSU will begin offering a nine-week certificate program next year on running political and public affairs campaigns. The Manship School’s Academy of Applied Politics is being launched by LSU’s Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs and the Manship School of Mass Communication. Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Journalism Building on the LSU campus. The academy’s semester will begin with orientation on Jan. 25, with classes to be held from Feb. 15 through April 4. The program is open to the public, although enrollment will be capped at 25. The fee is $500.
