Jennifer Bevill, a technology teacher at University High on the LSU campus, is among 102 finalists nationwide selected to attend the two-day Microsoft Partners in Learning 2012 U.S. Forum. Bevill is the only finalist from Louisiana. She and other educators will travel to Microsoft’s Redmond, Wash., campus July 31 to showcase the creative ways they are transforming the learning process with technology. A select number of educators at the forum will win the opportunity to represent the United States at the Partners in Learning Global Forum in Athens, Greece, this November, where they will compete with teachers from around the world. Microsoft says an unprecedented number of U.S. applications were submitted this year and that only the most innovative projects representing the pre-K- to 12th-grade spectrum were chosen.
