The LSU Innovation Park has two new tenants, and third company is slated to move in next month.
Nano Meda/Meda BioTech and Ayurvedic Doc are already operating at the park. The third company, Endeavor Power Technologies, is moving into the park in August.
Mewa Singh owns both Ayurvedic Doc and Nano Meda/Meda BioTech. Founded in 2003, Nano Meda/Meda BioTech is working on improving existing and new drugs. The company is working on products in nanomedicines, nutraceuticals and agrochemicals.
Ayurvedic Doc sells supplements and other products that promote digestive, women’s, men’s cardiac and joint health. Singh gathered a team of doctors who are developing natural products to offer to various ailments.
Endeavor Power Technologies is a startup focusing on software and protection equipment for power grids. Shahab Mehraeen, an LSU electrical and computer engineering assistant professor, is leading the company. He secured, with LSU as a partner, the National Science Foundation’s Small Business Innovation Research/The Small Business Technology Transfer grant.
The grant program expands opportunities into the federal innovation research and development arena.
