The Arkansas Razorbacks are predicted to finish ahead of the LSU Tigers in the SEC West and end up winning the 2013 conference championship, as voted by the league’s 14 baseball coaches in the 22nd annual preseason poll, released this morning. Vanderbilt is the polled coaches’ favorite to win the SEC East, with the Commodores forecast to finish ahead of Florida, Kentucky and South Carolina. The season kicks off Friday, with conference play set to begin one month later. The Tigers, ranked No. 10 in the nation,  begin the season against Maryland at Alex Box Stadium on Friday, with the first pitch to fly at 7 p.m. The Tigers’ other games against Maryland are slated for 1 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. One SEC coach voted for the Tigers to finish first in the SEC West this season—and it couldn’t have been LSU coach Paul Mainieri, as coaches are not allowed to vote for their own team in the poll.
