The LSU Louisiana Business and Technology Center is partnering with various state economic development organizations for the Offshore Technology Conference Brasil, to be held this week in Rio de Janeiro. Representatives from 23 Louisiana companies, as well as governmental and nonprofit agencies, traveled to Brazil in late September to begin negotiations for oil-and-gas sector partnerships in South America. Throughout the conference, Louisiana exporters will exhibit at a private kiosk in the Louisiana booth. Six companies unable to attend the trade show are participating in the catalog exhibit, whereby information on the companies will be on display. Companies have the opportunity to participate in an oil-and-gas roundtable with qualified agents and distributors, hear briefings on doing business in Brazil, network, learn about market research and listen to cultural briefings. For more information about the conference, visit its website here.
