Louisiana’s combined state and local sales tax rate of 9.547% is the second highest nationally, according to the Tax Foundation’s midyear report.  Earlier this year, Louisiana’s combined rate of 9.55% ranked at the top of Tax Foundation’s list for the second consecutive year. In the new report, Tennessee took the top spot with a 9.548%
