Louisiana is about to be the star of its very own reality show. BE Media will begin airing a new reality travel show, LENStv, this weekend through its distribution partner, Communications Corporation of America, in Louisiana and Texas. LENStv was developed to promote the entertainment, culinary and cultural activities within Louisiana to combat the negative impact and perceptions of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on the state’s tourism industry. Under the management of Believe Entertainment, BE Media and LENStv received a sponsorship grant through the Louisiana Office of Tourism and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. The Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana and Coushatta Casino Resort also provided air travel for the pilot episodes. LENStv follows its host, former Miss USA Ali Landry, on a behind-the-scenes trip to Lafayette to experience the Festival International de Louisiane, to Landry’s hometown of Breaux Bridge to visit its historic downtown, and to New Orleans to attend the world-famous Jazz & Heritage Festival. Former Miss Louisiana Lacey Minchew serves as field host throughout each episode, while special guests include Grammy-winner Terrance Simien, Darren Sharper and Chris Ivory of the New Orleans Saints, actress Natalie Desselle Reid and Survivor star James “Gravedigger” Clement. The first episode of LENStv airs throughout the week on the following stations: KZUP [RTV], WBRL [CW], WGMB [FOX], and WVLA [NBC] in Baton Rouge. For the rest of 10/12 Corridor Weekly, click here.
