Nial Patel, who has spent the past seven years working for Gov. Bobby Jindal, has left to become chief operating officer of Triumph Investments, a Denham Springs real estate development firm. Patel, who started with Jindal’s 2003 gubernatorial campaign, handled scheduling duties for the governor. Triumph Investments has done hotel projects in Denham Springs, Shreveport, Houma and Atlanta. Patel will start with Triumph in March or April. “I have the greatest admiration for Governor Jindal and will continue to participate in his efforts to lead Louisiana in a positive direction,” he said in an e-mail to friends. “In the meantime I will take this chance to step back to recharge.”
