Logan’s Roadhouse’s Baton Rouge location by the Mall of Louisiana is one of 21 casualties of the Nashville-based restaurant chain’s bankruptcy.
The steakhouse chain shuttered the location at 6571 Bluebonnet Blvd., as well as a location at 3323 Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette.
The restaurant’s closure date is unclear. Representatives from the Mall of Louisiana and General Growth Properties, which operates and handles leasing for the mall, could not be reached before this afternoon’s publication.
Logan’s Roadhouse filed for bankruptcy protection on Aug. 8 and originally announced that it would close 18 underperforming restaurants.
But according to court documents filed today, a Delaware federal judge signed off on the restaurant’s plan to reject leases on 21 of its establishments and to abandon any remaining property at the locations.
LRI Holdings, the chain’s parent company, reported that it had total assets of $347 million and total debts of $546 million as of June 30.
Logan’s Roadhouse still has Louisiana locations in Gonzales and Alexandria.
