College District CEO and founder Jared Loftus is hoping a glowing profile by Forbes—which comes out today under the headline “College Football’s Biggest Entrepreneur”—will parlay into added interest by investors in his growing online sports T-shirt business. “These are the kinds of things that can really open up doors,” Loftus says. “I really thought we were just going to be a blurb, so I was pretty excited—especially about the headline.” Loftus says investor interest in his business, which has grown from the success of the former brick and mortar Tiger District store in Baton Rouge, has really increased in recent months. A historic season by the LSU football team and the Honey Badger sensation haven’t hurt. Loftus also recently won a special SeNCE Pitch Night event for Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week.
