Gulf Engineers & Consultants has completed the acquisition of Krebs, LaSalle, LeMieux Consultants of Metairie. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but GEC says it will retain all employees and keep all of the Krebs LaSalle offices open. The deal gives GEC, which has offices in Baton Rouge, a greater presence in Metro New Orleans. Shelby LaSalle Jr., CEO of Krebs LaSalle group, will serve as executive vice president of GEC. GEC and Krebs LaSalle have a partnership going back nearly 20 years; recently the companies worked side-by-side as the consulting engineers for the Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission. “GEC is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, and this new partnership is a wonderful way to kick off the next 25 years,” says Verdi Adam, GEC president.
