“Choosing this location in Central was made easy when you studied the current market and growth potential, combined with an impressive lifestyle development from an experienced developer like Southern Lifestyle Development,” Ozzie Fernandez, Lit Pizza cofounder, says in a prepared statement. “We are excited to bring this family oriented and wood-fired pizza concept to Central and becoming part of this great community.”

Lit offers a “craft your own” experience in which guests can create an 11-inch pizza from scratch. The pizza pies are cooked in a wood-fired oven.

Fernandez and business partner, Gary Kovacs, also own Izzo’s Illegal Burrito. They are planning several more LIT Pizza and Izzo’s Illegal Burrito locations in south Louisiana. The recently announced development in the Cabela’s Center in Gonzales will feature both LIT and Izzo’s side by side.
