Home health provider LHC Group says it bought assets to operate hospice agencies in Louisiana and Alabama for an undisclosed amount. The Lafayette-based company bought Vital Hospice, based in Hammond. Vital Hospice has a service area of 18 southeastern parishes and annual revenue of about $1.5 million. The agency will operate under the name of Feliciana Hospice and Palliative Care. The company bought assets from Hospice Complete for four Alabama-based hospice agencies that cover 22 counties and generate annual revenue of about $4.8 million. LHC says it also entered into a home health joint venture with Marshall County Hospital, located in Benton, Ky., to provide home health services in Marshall County.
