Level Homes has acquired a 112-acre site in Ascension Parish and plans to develop a 285-lot community of single-family homes on the property called Bell Savagne. Level paid $4.9 million for the property, which it acquired from its longtime owners, the Braud family.
“For several years, our team has worked to build our vision for Belle Savagne and to acquire this outstanding site,” says Todd Waguespack, managing partner of Level Homes. “We’re thrilled to move forward with the acquisition of this prime land and to make that vision a reality.”
Homes in Belle Savagne will range from 50 to 80 feet in width and will include some of the largest residential lots in the area. Prices will range from $250,000 to $340,000.
The development will be located just off Interstate 10 and La. 73 in Prairieville near Dutchtown High School, in what Waguespack describes as one of the strongest housing markets in the Capital Region.
Level is no stranger to Ascension Parish, having built out 12 previous residential developments in the parish. But Waguespack says Bell Savagne will be different.
“This is a unique site because the location is so good,” he says.
Waguespack hopes to begin construction within 90 days.
Since its founding in 2000, Level Homes has grown considerably from a small residential builder in Baton Rouge to one of the fastest-growing residential construction companies in the southeast. In 2014, the company had revenues of $50 million.
