Sen. David Vitter’s office says his committee assignments in the 112th Congress will make him the second-highest ranking Republican on the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. Sen. Mary Landrieu will continue to serve as chair of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee. According to a news release, Vitter will also continue service on the Small Business Committee, where he will be the second-highest Republican; on the Armed Services Committee; and on the Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee. Landrieu will stay on the Appropriations, Energy and Homeland Security committees.
