LaMont Cole highlights changes within district as new school year approaches

East Baton Rouge Parish Superintendent LaMont Cole says the district is entering the new school year with 72 teacher vacancies—down significantly from about 200 at the same time last year. Speaking at Monday’s Press Club of Baton Rouge meeting, Cole said the district has 103 total vacancies, which includes the classroom positions. He notes that
