Advertising Company wants to make sure you find the best exit to fuel up, grab a bite to eat or stay the night. On Thursday, Lamar will unveil RoadNinja, a location-trolling app that identifies restaurants, hotels, gas stations and more at every exit on the interstate. Lamar CEO Sean Reilly calls the app a “must-have for road trips” because it allows drivers to see “what’s available at any exit—even if it’s 3,000 miles ahead.” The free app, available initially for the iPhone and in December for Android phones, will also deliver location-specific promotions. Businesses advertising with Lamar will be able to participate in featured promotions at no extra charge. Jason’s Deli is the first national chain to sign on, and Lamar says it’s also working on a partnership with “one of the nation’s leading online coupon providers” to feature more than 15,000 coupons on the app. A social media component allows travelers to add reviews, ratings and photos of business listings on the app and to share them with friends.
