A new report ranks Louisiana No. 6 among the most favorable states in the country for entrepreneurs. The study, conducted by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, looks at several factors, including percentage growth in business establishments, per capita growth in business establishments, and number of patents per thousand residents. Louisiana was ranked 16th in the first State Entrepreneurship Index, which came out two years ago. New York held on to the top spot it occupied in the first index, while South Carolina was ranked last in this year’s study. See the report here.
