Nashville-based Lovell Communications, a national public relations and marketing firm, is opening an office in Baton Rouge and has tapped Nicole Kleinpeter, a spokeswoman for Baton Rouge General/General Health System, to lead the office.
Kleinpeter worked for the hospital system for 13 years, most recently as vice president of marketing and communications for the community health system, according to a news release from Lovell Communications.
Kleinpeter could not be reached for comment by this afternoon’s deadline.
“During her 13-year tenure with GHS, Kleinpeter pioneered a robust, data-driven approach to guide the health system’s marketing and advertising; she also oversaw the development of population health and valued-based messaging campaigns designed to support the health and wellness of the communities served by GHS and its private physician network,” the news release says.
A 2015 Forty Under 40 honoree by Business Report, Kleinpeter has also been awarded the Rising Star Award from the American Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development in 2015, and Marketer of the Year by both the Louisiana Hospital Association and by Sales and Marketing Executives of Greater Baton Rouge.
“With an increasing number of clients in Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, opening a Baton Rouge office addresses an immediate and strategic need for our growing company,” Lovell President and CEO Rosemary Plorin says in a prepared statement. “Attracting an industry leader like Nicole, as well as the top-notch talent joining our Nashville office, supports our firm’s ability to deliver the high-level strategy and exceptional client service for which we’ve been known for almost three decades.”
